Intermodal Division

Intermodal freight transport involves the transportation of freight in an intermodal container or vehicle, using multiple modes of transportation (e.g., rail, ship, and truck), without any handling of the freight itself when changing modes. With new equipment, chassis, trucks and drivers, Altom Transport is well positioned to Handle Intermodal Freight

Altom now serves the vast global Intermodal network starting from our new operations serving the Port of Houston and will be expanding as we grow this service. Our next target is Chicago.

The Altom intermodal group currently primarily serves the Port of Houston and other Gulf Coast terminals, but we are looking to expand this service to other Altom terminal areas.  We handle both Iso tanks and Flexi tanks utilizing a variety of chassis such as Z Chassis, Spread Axle Drop Chassis, Single and Combination Chassis, Lift Chassis. We can provide equipment to deliver and load or unload anywhere in the continental United States or Canada. Intermodal services now available in our Gulf Coast operations now include Van, Flatbed, and Container Services
